plantain

Native Americans called this herb “White Man’s Foot” because it seemed to grow wherever Europeans walked.

This plant is a good example of how God provides everyday solutions for small run-ins we have when living with and in nature.

Plantain is edible with the youngest leaves the tastiest. It is high in Vitamin K and makes a healthy tea.

For Poison Ivy, bug stings, scrapes, and minor wounds, find plantain away from a roadside and chew the smaller leaves up into a mash and apply to the affected area. People claim this is good for snake bite also.
