Like dense fog that lifts and dissipates in the Morning Sun, so to did the thick thoughts and heavy memories of the night before. They rose and then settled once again into the mind of the angel. He processed them with his Heart and then stored them inside his Being so they could be accessed and Remembered as needed.  Metatron grinned at the Tea still left on the stove…apparently some of the other angels decided to be Creative the night before and steeped the Manna in Water, rather than just eating it and enjoying the revelations and experience that the food of angels brought to those that were pure of Heart.

Manna was something one only ate or drank if it was offered in Love and consumed with Joy.  Any negative thought or dark intention manifested in Reality, and without a Guide, Friend,  or Teacher, it would be easy to get lost in the Mansions and Caves of the Kingdom.

Knowing that nothing is wasted with the Source, Metatron took a cup and poured the remaining Tea for himself. As always, he thanked the Light and began drinking. The abode was quiet still, and the only sound that could be heard were his Friends outside in the Wilderness. The birds were singing about the Morning again, and the angel joined them in his Heart as he stepped outside to watch the rising Sun. Not content to stay near the Dwelling, he climbed to a rock further up the Mountain. It would be a good place to meditate while the Mother slowly revealed Herself. He watched as the shadows slid from the the branches of the Trees and creatures with large eyes scurried to their own dens and abodes in the darkness of the rocks and caves.

Metatron sat waiting for the Day, and reflected on the nature of Manna and Remembered when he first showed Moses how to find it for the Children.

Moses was upset with the Children, and that meant he was actually upset with himself.  He should have prepared better before fleeing Egypt, but what was done was done.  Now he sat near his brother and expressed his concerns. The angel listened as Moses lamented about the amount of food and water left…barely enough for 3 days.  Metatron chose not to reveal his nature then to Moses because the Children needed a leader to help them to the Promised Land, and only by seeing the Power inside himself first could Moses in turn then reveal it to the Children. If the angel were to show what he was, then the Prophet could easily become dependent on the angel of the Lord for more than just direction.

In the meantime, he would help Moses find sustenance for not only the bodies of the Children, but also for their Souls.  They were about to eat the food of angels and would never be the same again.

“What is this bread Aaron, that grows on the the ground in the Wilderness far from any Miller or Field?” Moses asked.

“It comes from God Moses, as I said before, just keep looking with your Staff.” The angel replied.

“I’m thirsty Aaron.” his brother complained.

Metatron sighed and sat on a boulder near a plant, and invited Moses to do so also. He reminded his brother to always look near Trees and fallen logs and branches, and to use his Staff to turn over leaves and forest litter that might hide the Manna. The green plant he sat next to was a sign to Metatron they were near water; it could be consumed also, but there was only one that he could see and so he left it alone to grow and multiply. Although they were looking for food, he didn’t tell Moses about it, they were looking for a different type of food that Day.

As Moses sat down, he leaned on his Staff to settle himself, causing a fallen branch to move and show Manna growing in leaves before them.

“Is that it brother?” Moses roared.  He expected a loaf of bread and all he could see were the ugly and shriveled things before him.

“You are telling me Aaron, that I traveled halfway up this Mountain to eat something that grows in what the Animals leave behind?”

Growing mad, Moses clutched his Staff tight and struck the Rock the angel was sitting on.  Cold clear water began flowing from its base and a Stream was born in front of the two Brothers. Metatron never took his eyes from his brother as he watched him fall to his knees in Praise.

“Your God is truly real Aaron.  I only hope someday I am worthy and considered one of His.”

“You already are His Moses. Now eat.” said Metatron.
